Located, just outside of Vienna, The Tysons Corner area of McLean is a business district about equal in size to that of downtown Seattle. More than one half of Tysons businesses are high technology firms and government contractors.
Tysons Corner is also home of one of the most booming retail centers on the east coast. Two major malls are located here, Tysons Corner Center & the more upscale, Tysons Galleria. You can find a vast array of retailers from Saks, Neiman Marcus , Nordstrom and Barnes and Noble. In addition, Fairfax Square boast such retailer's as Tiffany & Co, and Hermes. You also have your choice of discount retailers such as Marshall's and T.J. Maxx.

Restaurant opportunities abound and include Mortons, The Palm, Capital Grill and Clydes just to name a few. Jobs are plentiful and economic forecasters predict even more opportunities in the region well into this century.
As of 2005, Tysons Corner has 25.6 million square feet of office space and over four million square feet of retail space, making it an important business district in its own right. See "Area Business Report".
There are plans to extend the Metro subway westward to Tysons Corner and eventually out to Dulles Airport. |
