TYSONS  CORNER

Located, just outside of Vienna, The Tysons Corner area of McLean is a business district about equal in size to that of downtown Seattle.
More than one half of
Tysons businesses are high technology firms and government contractors.

Tysons Corner is also home of one of the
most booming retail centers on the east coast.  Two major malls are located here,
Tysons Corner Center  & the more upscale, Tysons Galleria.
You can find
a vast array of retailers from Saks, Neiman Marcus
, Nordstrom  and Barnes and Noble. In addition,
Fairfax Square  boast such retailer's as Tiffany & Co, and Hermes. You also have your
choice of discount retailers such as Marshall's  and T.J. Maxx.
  Restaurant opportunities abound and
include
Mortons, The Palm,
Capital Grill  and Clydes
just to name a few. Jobs are
plentiful and economic forecasters predict even more
opportunities in the region well into this century.

As of
2005, Tysons Corner has 25.6 million
square feet  of office space and over four million square feet of retail space, making it an important business district in its own right.

See "Area Business Report".

There are plans to extend the Metro subway westward to Tysons Corner and eventually out to Dulles Airport.
